Born in Northern Ireland in 1984, Jonathan William Anderson originally studied drama in Washington DC, a love of stage costumes pushed him towards fashion. Before completing his menswear degree at the London College of Fashion in 2007 he had already made his London Fashion Week debut. The Northern Irish designer's signature androgynous aesthetic plays with proportion, form and pre-conceived ideas to give the everyday an avant-garde twist. His pre-AW12 collection is a playful mix of colourful knitwear, graphic prints and quilted accessories that stay true to the designer's signature aesthetic.
